Meet the doctors

LLOyd Suzuki DDS

was born and raised in Santa Barbara, CA. He comes from a family of dentists. His father, Tad Suzuki DDS, was a beloved dentist and community member for over forty years here in Santa Barbara. His brother, sister-in-law, and wife (Dr. Karen Lin) are all in the dental profession! Lloyd Suzuki attended UC Santa Cruz for his undergraduate studies and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology. Upon completion of his time at UC Santa Cruz he spent 3 years as a medical assistant at Sansum Clinic. In 2001, he graduated with a degree in General Dentistry from UC San Francisco. That same year he took over his father’s practice, where he continues to this day.

KAREN LIN DDS

was born in Taiwan. She moved to the U.S. at age 3 and spent the next 5 years growing up in Illinois. At age 8, her family moved to the SF Bay Area. Karen Lin attended UC Santa Cruz for her undergraduate studies, graduating with a B.A. in Molecular/Cellular & Developmental Biology. She then attended the University of San Francisco for post-baccalaureate studies and began a master’s program in Toxicological Biology. She graduated in 2001 with a degree in General Dentistry from UC San Francisco. In 2001, she began an associateship with Dr. John Standlee in Santa Barbara and took over his practice in 2004 when he retired. (Dr. Standlee was actually a colleague and longtime friend of Dr. Tad Suzuki, going back to dental school at USC in the 1960s.)
